Land Transfer Fees are imposed on the market value of immovable properties and are payable by the acquirer for transfers of immovable properties.

  1. No transfer fees are payable in the case of reorganizations
  2. No transfer fees are paid when the immovable property transferred is subject to VAT.
  3. The above transfer fees are reduced by 50% in case the purchase of immovable property is not subject to VAT.
  4. In case of free transfers of property, no transfer fees are payable for transfers from parents to children, and 0,1% on the value of property as at 1 January 2013 is payable for transfers between spouses and between third degree relatives.
